Directions to Willow Pond Farm

If you can find Gettysburg, you can find Fairfield and Willow Pond Farm!

From Gettysburg, head west on Rt. 116 (West Middle St.) eight miles to Fairfield. From the Getty station as you come into town, continue 0.7 miles (Main St. has no stop lights, but a well-enforced 25 mile per hour speed limit) to McGinley Dr., the last left turn in town. (If you reach the school, you've gone too far.) Turn left onto McGinley and proceed one-quarter mile to Willow Pond Farm on the right. (McGinley metamorphoses into Tract Rd. at the borough boundary.)

From Washington, D.C., take Rt. 270 west to Frederick, MD, then Rt. 15 north to Rt. 140 at Emmitsburg, MD (the birthplace of Elizabeth Ann Seton, the first woman in America to be canonized as a saint). Go west on Rt. 140 through Emmitsburg. At the gas station 0.8 mile west of Emmitsburg turn right onto Tract Rd. and follow it 6.3 miles to Willow Pond Farm on the left. (Do not allow yourself to be confused by a sign along Tract Rd. that points to Willow Valley Farm. That's the Crum's place. Nice asparagus and strawberries in season.)

From Interstate 81, take Rt. 16 east at Greencastle through Waynesboro and Blue Ridge Summit. As you reach the bottom of the hill east of Blue Ridge Summit, turn left onto Rt. 116. Follow Rt. 116 3.7 miles past the (very nice) Carroll Valley golf course, Ski Liberty, and Fairfield School.. Turn right on McGinley Dr. -- the first right past the school. Willow Pond Farm is one-quarter mile on the right.
