Dorothea Barrick, Spring Branch Studio. Dorothea Barrick has her MFA in painting from MICA, Baltimore. She will be showing oil, acrylic, and watercolor paintings as well as etchings, monotypes, chine colle prints and pastels. Dorothea has taught at various venues, presently with Frederick Community College, FCPR and Adams County Arts Council, Gettysburg. Her work is widely collected including a 2009 acquisition of mixed media piece by UMUC, Largo. Ms. Barrick was represented in Artomatic@Frederick this year. Jack Handshaw, Hobbit House Pottery. Jack produces wonderful one of a kind porcelains using traditional celadon and oxblood glazes. He has been making pottery at this location for over 30 years. Ann Ruppert, Windborne Farm. Ann is a mixed media artisan with a long and varied career focusing on nature in all its forms. In addition to creating botanical watercolors and landscape, she has begun producing fine silver jewelry. Crum Rd., Fairfield, PA 17320
Sheila Waters. Sheila is internationally renowned as a calligrapher, artist and miniature painter (illumination). She has a Masters degree from the Royal College of Art in London. Her works are featured in many books about calligraphy; she founded the Washington Calligraphers Guild (follow link to see more of her work) in 1976 and teaches in the U.S. and interenationally. Becky Carter. Becky Carter works in colored pencil, pastels and pen and ink. She is a member of the Adams County Arts Council and Franklin County Arts Alliance. Her colored pencil work "Iris" won an honorable mention at the recent Carroll Valley Art Show. 13 Snowbird Tr., Fairfield, PA 17310
